For me, one of the hardest things in blogging is keeping it new and exciting. Definitely, you may have good content however, if it’s monotonous then most probably, your web page view or your viewers will decrease in figure. And what might happen? Nothing. Your blog post is just being in cyberspace with no devoted audience reading it.
How do you keep it New? You need to be creative and dedicated. This may include setting for long hours reading on great post from good bloggers and extracting the “meat” on it. Your critical thinking should be with you and you need to play around with it. You should not be afraid of trail and error to govern what you wanted. It might be a struggle at first but your effort would be counted. To make it easier for you, I have added some tips I know. You may study the listings below:
Ask Your Readers. I have tried this idea and it works. When I posted on my blog – “I don’t know what to write” and bingo! The audience has their share by giving comments and suggestion on good topics they have in mind. They also enumerated on what topic they did not like as they found it boring. You see, this is one good tactics. Try it!
Go To Other Blogs. This is the best way to connect with more people and can give you motivation as well. You can take some ideas from their blog that would also fit and effective in your personal blog. Also, another good idea is by adding your own insights, ideas, suggestions, and experience to their topic and linking the post to your own blog.
Keep Away From Angry Blog Syndrome. Have you ever visited other blog and read about their hatred on everything- family, work, economy, and life? Me? Many times. But do not let yourself driven by this which tends you to write on something similar to this. Why? Seeing you post negative on something also invites negative energy and as a result, nobody would appreciate or subscribe to your blog.
Guest Posting. This is cool and most of all easy. The trend is- when you are not feeling good on writing today, your bloggy friend “guest post” and links back to his/her personal blog. Cool isn’t it? You can have your day off while the “guess poster” got exposure. Making your blog new maybe needing reinforcement or we call it “life line”.
Write. Just write. This is the top secret. Readers are called “READER” because they love to read. If there is nothing to read then they would not stay and quickly find another blog to read about.
The reason why I am stay alive? It’s because I don’t give up. If I run out of ideas on what to write, I just leave and relax for a while, have coffee and watch TV, after 2-3 hours and I’d come back loaded with ideas. You know, you need to rest to revive your mind and think on ideas. It takes a lot of thinking on keeping the website content new and fun.
