Clearly your blogs need editing but that is just a side note that I wanted to comment about. The real issue here is whether or not is there a person better than Chiz right now. With all the hype about noynoy aquino running for president, the society is actually turning this into a popularity contest. Correct me if I'm wrong but it is already clear. Chiz may have his ups and downs but is there really a better candidate? Being a trapo doesn't necessarily mean that he is not capable of being a good leader. Think about it, would you like to give the position to an eye candy (popularity wise not based on his 'NICE' face) like noynoy? Or give it to Chiz who is very well educated and does not really have a problem with the society? At the end of the day we see an obvious choice. :)

I am not that knowledgeable enough about laws but, somehow, I know some things. I think it is not something about the political system...how the system implemented it is. You might have blamed Malacanang for things that have fallen short our expectation, but a good foundation for more effective political system lies on the people. What have we done? What have we contributed as expected responsible citizens?
Undeniably, a big part of Philippine failure on some things is greatly contributed by many citizens. How could I say that? Because I see it. But that does not exactly justify the destiny they have now. They should have done too.
Maaring sinisisi natin ang Malacanang for corruption but we should realize that even in our office corruption exists. Sa pagkilos ng tama even if we know that many people are doing otherwise.

P.S. THE PHILIPPINES STILL DESERVES PEOPLE LIKE US.

@roy, Its your opinion and I respect it . I am not sure about Gibo since he is in the administration and cannot share views for himself but in be half of the Malacanang

@jay I appreciated your opinion. Yeah I admit, I am writing this for traffic purposes and to enhance my SEO skills. Adsense? di naman masyado, pangcandy lng.

But in my opinion about Political System in the Philippines, I will stand on it. I've been serving the government at the age of 16, as SK chairman in our place. Some of my cousins encourage me to pursue my political career but I refused. I promised to my self not to be a part of this system. Its not just about government system alone but Filipino attitude by nature. There are hundreds of reasons for this hatred but medyo mataas na if i-discuss ko pa.

Kapatid... you have a lot of hatred in your heart. No political system nor person can change that but by the decisions you make. I just read your headline and a few sentences in your post. It's pretty much optimized for your targeted words.

Sayang, you have a lot of potential.. but a lot of hate can only get you as far.

If it's poverty... well poverty is a choice, no government or system can eliminate that... it totally depends on us?

If opportunity... I think by now you know that opportunity has to grabbed by.. us - how did you come about blogging.

So bottom line?...

Sen. Chiz Escudero said he wants to run for president at a young age because he’s afraid that if he does so when he is older, he might end up acting like a trapo (traditional politician). But since his early days as a politician, Escudero has already been acting like one:

1. He didn’t support the impeachment of then-Comelec Commissioner Luzviminda Tancangco despite the overwhelming evidence against her. Chiz cannot deny the fact that Tancangco was the architect of the Mega Pacific deal that involved billions of pesos. The deal was later junked by the Supreme Court. She was also involved in the Voters Registration and Identification System (VRIS) project. It reeked with irregularity when she awarded it to Photokina for P6.56 billion despite the Comelec’s budget of only P1.2 billion.

Actually, the impeachment reached the plenary but Escudero and his Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) party had the numbers to thwart the impeachment.

2. Escudero didn’t support the impeachment of former Ombudsman Aniano Desierto. Lawyer Ernesto Francisco and civil society groups filed an impeachment case against Desierto for culpable violation of the Constitution and betrayal of public trust. Despite the overwhelming evidence similar to the one filed against current Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez, then Representative Escudero didn’t have any second thoughts in helping the majority junk the impeachment complaint.

3. Escudero didn’t support the impeachment complaint against then-President Joseph “Erap” Estrada, again despite the overwhelming evidence. Back then, Escudero saw nothing impeachable about Erap, in the same manner that today Rep. Mikey Arroyo sees nothing impeachable about Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

4. But the most repulsive act Escudero did was when he, together with his “Brat boys” in the NPC, initiated the impeachment of then-Chief Justice Hilario Davide. Of course, they didn’t succeed because of the furor à la People Power whipped up by their unreasonable and childish initiative.

I wonder why these things have not been raised in candidates’ forums. The electorate, especially the youth, should study and look at the past actions of people running for high office or they could be duped by glib talk.

He is also a PRO MARCOS AND PRO ERAP and the author of the controversial right of reply bill
