Future President?
Noynoy Aquino has finally broken his silence and has come out with his decision. Yes, he will run for president of the Philippines in 2010 under the Liberal Party.
It took him a while to decide whether or not he will run but on the 40th day of his mother’s death, he came out with this statement, “Tatakbo ako sa pagkapangulo sa darating na halalan.” Ironically, he made the statement where his mother took her oath as president about 23 years ago, the historic Club Filipino in Greenhills, San Juan.
Seen present during the announcement were Senators Manuel Roxas II, Kiko Pangilinan and Rodolfo Biazon, former congressman Nereus Acosta, celebrity Jim Paredes, Lea Navarro of the Black and White Movement, and former Sen. Frankin Drilon.
With his announcement, he has set the whole country abuzz. Hopefully, he does a good job if ever he does get elected. But then again, looking at his pedigree, one would think that he is the right man for the job. Good luck Noynoy!
