I was upset when read about the news saying that Electronics and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) is not included in September 7 and September 21, 2009 holiday. I guess Sept 7 is acceptable since is not scheduled holiday but not in September 21, there is an enacted law for this legal non-working holiday so all industries should be included.
I know that BPO and electronics industry is not allowed to stop their services even holidays but the company should to give double compensation for that day.

yes, i totally agree. i even wrote the malacanang palace regarding this. this declaration is totally unfair, and inhumane!
I guess they have hidden agenda with this decision.. but our company consider Eid’l fitr as non-Working holiday:)
i agree. this is unfair. it’s not like we will absent ourselves but we should be entitled to the compensation of working on a holiday. as if our compensation is enough. if i have another choice i won’t be working in a call center.
you guys are just greedy for money. inhumane? bah. unfair? right.
