It was announced by the Comelec that the 2010 election will be computerized. The two big company who won in the bidding will provide the computers that will be used in the said Election. Do you think it can solve the problem of Cheating? or worsen the situation?
At the Age of 16 I was already engaged in Philippine politics, I was 16 years old then, when I run as SK Chairman in our Barangay. At that time I was able to see how the election is being done. I guess the problem in our election cannot be solved by a machine. We do have a lot of laws about election but as we can see even the law-makers (congressmen/senators) are not following it.
We don’t need a computerized election for us to have a clean election. We need sincerity in choosing our leaders. We need internal vigilance that would protect our votes. We need a candidate that will abide the law in election. This things cannot be solved by any software or a machine.
Seven Billion Pesos for the computerized election is a waste of money if we will not change our Traditional Political System here in the Philippines.
It’s true dat we only need honest people for our elction to b successful and peaceful. this is within d pple 2 b voted and the voters too.
Computerized Election for 2010 seems to be good. So we hope that we can’t encounter problem during the counting of votes.
The good thing about Computerized 2010 Election is that it made the counting faster and easier but when it comes to authenticity, very suspicious. Rather do it manually. Cheaters always find a way to manipulate the counting.
Indeed a historic activity for the Filipino people. It was successful and the results were embraced by the sovereign. It made the proclamation of new leaders more prompt.
