Philippines: No Classes on September 21,2009

September 21, 2009 is declared national non-working holiday by the Malacañang from the recommendation of Muslim leaders for the celebration of Eid’l fitr. Eid’l fitr or the end of the holy month of Ramadan is being celebrated by the Muslims around the world. There is already an enacted law here in the Philippines for this event but there is no specific date since Muslims are using Hijri calendar.
