Selling blogposts and sponsored reviews can be a good source of income for your blog. In just a single post, you can earn from $5 – $50. The idea of earning is an advantage, but on the other side, there are some bloggers didn’t recognize the effects of selling paid post to their blog. Indeed, there are some risks n selling this kind of advertisement in your blog.
Lose a lot of visitors
Every time I saw blogs with interesting content. I usually bookmarked it and visit it regularly. If ever I saw a lot paid blog posts and sponsored reviews, I usually delete it or ignore this blog. Especially if they are selling blogposts/reviews about Casino, Pharm or other topics that are not related to their blog. Aside from losing visitors you will also lose your credibility if you do it.
It can hurt your PR/SERP.
Google doesn’t like paid links because it can cause manipulation of Searh engine ranking. They only allow it if there is a rel=”nofollow” tag that cannot be use for SEO. Viewers can report paid links to Google by visiting this link. If you have a lot of outgoing links from paid blogposts and sponsored reviews, you are sharing your link juice[Google PR] to their site.
Loss Subscribers
People hate spam emails. If you have a lot of subscribers in your blog, please take care of them. Provide them with information that they are interested of. If you are just falsifying facts or a non-sense blogposts and reviews just to earn money from sponsor, I’m sure people will unsubscribe to your feed.
Remember “Content is still the KING” not only for Search Engine but also for our readers also. Selling blogposts and reviews is not bad if you do it properly.
I agree with this Kaiser, especially on unrelated topics/posts mix on your blog. If your blog/niche is about this, stick with it. If you prefer paid blog posts and sponsored reviews, then better separate them on your primary blog to preserve reliability and value.
I do not agree.
Para chuy. hahahahahhaa
It is true selling sponsored reviews can hurt blogs, but so long as you do not do it too often, it is ok.
I agree with you kaiser, they should separate in term for paid and blog.
I think paid post is ok, untill and unless your are not getting to post something that is not related to your blog also if you use rel=”nofollow” tag. many top blogs are Getting paid for Reviews and post.
